10/10/2013 1:00 PM EST - Mastering Exposure for Landscape Photography, Part II

When your camera makes the metering decisions, some landscape shots come out great. Some not so great. Using a light meter gives you the control to get the best digital capture every time.

Join host Joe Brady as he shows when and how to effectively use incident-light metering and reflected-light-spot metering. During this free webinar, sponsored by Sekonic, Joe will take you to some beautiful outdoor locations that will challenge your in-camera meter and show you how to come home with the best shot.

The best exposures make post-production easy. Joe will show you how two quick image edits with Adobe’s Lightroom and Photoshop Camera Raw can transform properly exposed image files into stunning photographs.

hello , i got the 758 and i am trying to learn. 1) the tutorial is good but talks only (same for the part I) about scenarios where there is a very bright part that have to be exposed right before clipping . But how about gray days , foggy days , or dusk ? how evaluate perfectly exposure that way using the spot meter ? 2) can profile a B&W film? Close

In this webinar Joe stated that DXO rated the Sony SLT A99 as the camera with the highest dynamic range, and higher than the Nikon D800. I was excited to check that out as I am interested in the camera. However, when I looked at DXO's site it appears they rank the D800 higher, both overall and in landscape dynamic range - not by a lot, but higher. Am I misunderstanding something? Other than that it was an interesting and informative webinar. Close
