Precise Measurement

Measures LED, HMI, Fluorescent, Tungsten, Natural Light and Flash in 1 nanometer (nm) output wavelength increments from 380 to 780 nm. It conforms to requirement of “Illuminance meter class” for JIS C 1609-1: 2006 “Illuminance meters Part 1: General measuring instruments” Class A, and DIN 5032 Part 7 Class C.

Precise measurement

Wide Measurement Range of Color Temperature and Illuminance
Wide measurement range of Color Temperature (1,563 to 100,000K) and illumination
(1 to 200,000lx = 0.1 to 18,600fc in ambient light, 20 to 20,500lx • s = 1.86 to 1,900fc • s in flash light)

Flash Measurement

Because of it’s sophisticated  and unique accumulation-type sensor, the C-7000 is the world’s first*, stand-alone industrial spectrometer designed to measure flash light color. Flashes may be trigger by connected PC cable or cordlessly.

*As of August 2015, by research of Sekonic Corporation
User-friendly Design
Simply tap the intuitive color touch screen to open a measuring display mode. Return to the home screen at any time by tapping the Mode Icon on the display screen in use or pressing the Menu Button on the meter. The pressure-activated design of the screen enables easy use with gloves in cold weather.

270° horizontal swivel head enables using  the meter in a convenient and comfortable manner.

Dark calibration is achieved by simply turning the Light Selection Ring to the calibration Icon. No need to worry about losing the cap. (Dark Calibration internal mechanism exclusive Sekonic design – patent pending.)

Spectrum Mode (With Enlargement)

Displays user-selected data set in library.
Graphed Spectrum is displayed for a single
reading or for continuous monitoring.
Final measurement can be displayed as
a graph with data or graph in full screen

Spectrum Comparison Mode
Spectrum Comparison creates a three light over-lay comparison with Correlated Color Temperature (Tcp) and Deviation (Δ uv) values.
Current = Spectrum

Memory 2 = Pink Outline

Color Rendering Index Mode

The CRI (Color Rendering Index) displays the selected value (Ra, or individual R1 to R15) numerically or in a bar graph to show how accurately different colors will be reproduced.
Ra is the average of R1 to R8.
R1 to R8 is General CRI.
R9 to R15 is Special CRI.

Color Rendering Index Mode

CIE1931 (CIE1964) and CIE1931 (CIE1964) Comparison Mode
Displays the measurement result in three selected text format together with the position of x, y (or x10, y10) chromaticity coordinate on the CIE1931 (or CIE1964) chromaticity diagram. When 2 degrees of field of view is selected in Hardware Setting, this mode shows CIE1931. CIE1964 appears when 10 degrees of field of view is selected.

Chromaticity coordinate comparison creates three measurement points (cross marks), comparing two stored measurements against a current reading displaying x10,y10 chromaticity coordinate values. Up to 999 measurements can be stored in the meter’s memory.
CIE 1931 Spectrum and CIE 1931 Spectrum Comparison Modes

CIE1976 and CIE1976 Comparison Mode
Displays the measurement result in three selected text format together with the position of u', v' (or u'10, v'10) on the Uniform Chromaticity Scale defined in 1976 by CIE. It is intended to provide a perceptually more uniform color spacing for colors at approximately the same luminance.

Chromaticity coordinate comparison creates three measurement points (cross marks), comparing two stored measurements against a current reading displaying u'10, v'10 chromaticity coordinate values. Up to 999 measurements can be stored in the meter’s memory.

Memory Management

Memory function

  • C-7000 stores up to 999 memories with user generated title. This enables storing full light-source information for checking the deterioration of a single light or comparison between multiple lights
  • Memory functions include: Memory Recall, Rename and Clear
  • Memorized values are used for each Comparison mode (Spectrum Comp. CIE1931 Comp. and CIE1976 Comp.)

Custom Settings Mode
You can customize the C-7000 display to your operating preferences. The current setting for each item is displayed in yellow letters on the setting button.
